Adam assists with the Chancellor's scheduling and activities, keeping a close eye on priorities and maintains close relations with both internal and external constituents. He coordinates travel arrangements and itineraries, providing itineraries and briefing materials for each outing. Adam also provides assistance for the associate chancellors, reviewing and submitting materials for the chancellor's approval. He acts as a liaison for many offices, and works closely with the senior director of strategic communications.
Mary's primary function is to assist and advise Katherine Galvin, Associate Chancellor. She handles her appointments and provides background materials for the Associate Chancellor. Mary handles correspondence, reports, and other requests, sets up itineraries and makes travel arrangements. She also processes fiscal transactions, coordinates with the Board of Trustees and other University Administration, as well as state and local officials. She monitors compliance for both Title IX and Ethics units for the Office of the Chancellor. She coordinates on a variety of levels with the Academic Senate and affiliated groups, the Special Events Office, FOIA requests, and prepares academic employment materials.
Andréa assists Associate Chancellors Mike DeLorenzo and Assata Zerai with calendar management and processing of information received via correspondence, reports, email, and telephone contacts to provide useful and comprehensive information. Staff in the Office of the Chancellor interact and collaborate on a regular basis as well as with staff from other administrative offices across campus, university administration and external constituents; i.e. personnel in the City of Champaign Mayor and City Manager’s office, office of the City of Urbana’s Mayor and Chief of Staff, and multiple community organizations.
Karen's primary function as Office Manager is to serve as the first point of contact for the Chancellor’s office and to supply a major portion of the clerical support for the Chancellor. Assistant to the Chancellor provides assignments and gives general instructions. Karen follows through and is responsible for accuracy, content, format, and timeliness of completion of materials on a consistent basis.
