Engaging the Campus
Over the course of the next 12 to 18 months, Chancellor Robert Jones will be visiting each college and major unit, meeting with internal and external stakeholders, engaging the Academic Senate and introducing himself to faculty, staff, student leaders, community partners, donors, elected officials and others. His transition to the university is being guided by a detailed plan prepared by the offices of the Chancellor and Provost. A committee of faculty, staff and students also has been formed to serve as a sounding board as he familiarizes himself with campus.
Requests and Invitations
As part of the transition plan, Chancellor Jones already is being scheduled to join Interim Provost Edward Feser on visits to each college and the University Library, as well as to join Vice Chancellor Peter Schiffer on visits to each research institute and ACES Dean Kimberlee Kidwell on visits to selected Extension units. He also will visit major units and offices in Student Affairs, meet the campus’ Advancement staff and tour Krannert Center for the Performing Arts, Krannert Art Museum and Spurlock Museum, among other auxiliaries.
Units requesting Chancellor Jones’ participation in a specific event or meeting should use this request form.
